I used to do bookmark a site when it used to come as getting the updates from a site on daily bases. RSS does the same thing but in more accurate and productive way. i dont have to go to site and check the update manually. whenever there will be a update, then it will show up in the web browser if i do it in RSS. This saves time and is more accurate than the other way. you cant miss anything.
RSS is pretty easy online aggregator. I used the google reader and found out pretty easy to subscribe for the web feeds.
As far the subscription of the website is concerned. There are few easy ways to do that.
*You can go to the website and there is a little orange button will appear on the top right of your computer. you can click on that and add the subscription to your google reader. This is an easy way to do it.

*Secondly you can simply click on add subscription and type in the website or the topic you are interested in. then few options will pop up as a result of the that search corresponding to your search. find the best suited one and click on it. Then there will be an option for the subscription. just click on it and the feed is added to your reader.

*You can also copy the url of your desired site and then you can paste it on the add subcription option. Then you can directly add the feed to you reader.

*Reader is also available on the phone. so you can add the fee through phone supporting data transmission.

RSS is a very useful option in the internet browsing. As you can not miss anything. you dont have to click on specificly every bookmark to see if there is any update or no. you can just simply see if there is any unread update on reader is or no. That saves time. RSS is a good option if you put your assignments updates in that too. you can see when they are due and if there is any changes in them.
its good for the news feed as you can see the updates from the whole world without missing anything.

A web based aggregator is better than the desktop software because if your computer crashes then you dont lose any data or any important links. It will always be safe online and you can access it at any part of world which does not work with the desktop software.
